The Championship clash between Peterborough United and Sheffield Wednesday has been a highly anticipated one for some time and it did not disappoint. Peterborough took all three points with a thrilling 3-2 win over the Owls at London Road.

Having gone behind twice, two goals from Mo Eisa and one from Siriki Dembele sealed the win for Posh.

The home side had the better of the first half, dominating possession and creating several chances. However, Wednesday took the lead against the run of play when Adam Reach fired home from the edge of the box.

Peterborough responded well and equalised just before the break when Eisa scored with a powerful strike.

The second half was an even more exciting affair with both sides going for the win. Wednesday restored their lead when Reach netted his second of the game, but Posh refused to be beaten and Eisa scored his second of the game with a sensational strike to make it 2-2.

In the dying moments of the game, Dembele scored the winner for Peterborough with a stunning volley from the edge of the area.

The win sees Peterborough move up to 11th in the Championship table, while Wednesday remain 19th.
